Regular Practice

Kyudo Practice for students who have received First Shot instructions. Programs to receive these are held about 3 times a year.
Classes take place most Sundays from 5pm to 7pm (some exceptions). Arrive at 4:30pm for set-up. Visitors welcome.

Max Baltin has travelled all the way from Germany to lead this program.
CHANGE – due to severe rainfall warning we had to move this event to Halifax, our usual practice space.
Sadly, thus it is no longer a long weekend of practice and study at a rural retreat centre. However, it remains an incredible opportunity to begin or deepen your Kyudo Practice.

This is a rare occasion to begin the journey of Kyudo Practice. Starting today, the program takes place over 4-6 consecutive Sundays to learn the form, before the student will release the first arrow.

This is a special one – a gathering of the clan! Whether or not you are currently practicing, if you have a connection to Kyudo, please make sure you attend this class and social; it’s a very important one.
4:30pm Arrival, 5:00pm Formal Opening followed by conversation. A festive Social with food and drink will conclude the evening.

Held at Bodhi Manda Zen Center in Jemez Springs, New Mexico, this Kyudo Intensive with Shibata Sensei will include sitting meditation, work practice, lots of kyudo practice, evening talks, and discussions.
